    MONITORING OF AIR QUALITY
This website shows weather data and air quality data at the two stationary monitoring points (LHY4 and LHY7) and the mobile monitoring station (Mobile LGM) within the Munich Airport area. Current, non-validated data (with a 20-minute delay) as well as archived and validated measurement data can be downloaded.
    DATA
On the background map, the active air quality monitoring points are indicated by a green point/vehicle, while former air quality monitoring points are marked by a grey point. The monitoring point designation (e.g. LHY7) and a selected measurement parameter with the corresponding measurement are shown above the green point/vehicle. Active monitoring points can be selected by mouse click. The selection is indicated by a green border. When a station is selected, a display of results opens on the right-hand side of the screen. This display shows the respective measurement parameters and their current measurements. Clicking on the measurement parameter on the left-hand side reveals a chart of the course of measurements at the bottom of the results display. This chart contains the sliding 20-minute average values of the last four hours up to system time (green line). A so-called short-term air quality index (LuQx) from the LUBW (State Institute for the Environment, Measurements and Conservation in Baden-Würrttemberg) is used to better classify the air quality data. The LuQX covers the parameters for nitrogen dioxide, sulphur dioxide, carbon monoxide, ozone and PM10 fine dust. The measurement data for these parameters are generated using the average periods from the LuQx, and are shown in a second concentration curve (grey line).

The archive data can be selected using the calendar symbol in the toolbar at the top edge of the window. You can return to the live view again at any time with the help of the replay symbol (triangle). Using the pause button, you can pause the display and continue at a later period. The current system time (to which the data displayed belong) is shown in the top left-hand corner.

The archive data for the last 4 weeks can be downloaded. Further archive data as from 2012 are available, and can be viewed in WebReporting (button beneath the measurement diagram).
    FURTHER FUNCTIONS
Various types of maps are offered and can be selected using the map type selection in the toolbar.

The toolbar also contains a number of buttons on the right-hand side for adjusting the program settings, for centring the map on the airport area and for zooming in and out of the map.
    TIPS & TRICKS
The map view can also be operated using the keyboard. When the screen view is active, you can use the '-' button to zoom out of the map and the '+' button to zoom in. In addition, the current image detail can be moved using the arrow buttons or the up/down buttons.

Almost all modern internet browsers offer a full-screen view, which expands the content of the browser window to the entire screen, without menu bar and other toolbars. This mode is usually started and ended using the F11 key.

You can measure distances on the map by clicking two (or more) positions on the map with the right mouse button. The result of the measurement is displayed in an additional info area in the bottom left-hand corner of your browser window. The measurement is ended by a left-click on the map.
